In the Spring of 2002 while attending our first regional Class A Arabian Show in Culpepper, VA, our then 12 year-old daughter, Alexis, who was an active ballet student and performed with the Professional Company of the Richmond Ballet, decided we should name our “farm” Arabesque Arabians.

Arabesque Arabians was named for this movement that combines, in much the same way that Arabian horses do, grace and beauty. We view this as the epitome of the Arabian horse with its fluid movement, graceful ease, classic style, balance and strength

We specialize in Arabian horses, using specific bloodlines that promote the healthy, sane and versatile attributes of the Arabian horse. We also cultivate Half-Arab crosses to create exceptional athletes for use in sport horse and dressage competitions.

Our focus is on long-term investment as we develop sound athletes for pleasure and competition. Arabesque Arabians invests the time and resources required to allow the each horse’s natural talents to evolve and dictate the discipline best suited for each individual horse. Sound minds and healthy manners are critical to a long-term connection with their riders. To achieve this, they are imprinted from birth and handled by a number of people.

They are quickly exposed to the farrier, wash stall and ground tying concepts. Our horses also participate in equine facilitated therapy programs for individuals with acquired brain injuries.
